TestimonialsREVIEWS FOR KETTLEBELL WAY VOLUME 1 “I have recently completed P90X so I was already in good shape and I was looking for a way to keep fit that would not require as much of a time committment. After seeing all the news about how kettlebells develop functional fitness and combine cardio and strength training I was skeptical but decided to order this DVD. I have now been using it for over 1 month and its an amazing workout. Kettlebells are not cheap (an neither is this DVD) but its an investment that pays great dividends. The moves are a little tricky initially, you should review the tutorial before starting this workout. A Kettlebell really makes you activate a lot of different muscles to stabilize it so its best to start off with a light weight or even a light dumbell until you get the movement patterns down. It also takes a few times through the workout until you know which weight is right for you. I bought 2 kettlebells; 25 lbs and 35 lbs and that is all I need for now.” “I do this workout with a heart rate monitor and it burns over 700 calories in 45 minutes (at least for me). Do this workout 3 times a week and you will be in great shape!” “I’m the kind of guy that’s been in and out of gyms my whole life and I’m sick of them. I’ve also been on a quest to find a great workout that nails cardio and strength training in a minimal amount of time. I invested in this DVD and a kettlebell and dumped my gym membership about 2 years ago and have never looked back. I spend 45 mins 2 or 3 times a weeks and I’ve never felt stronger. My golf game is better than ever. My tennis game is better than ever. I’m a 52 and have more strength and flexibility than I did when I was 20. This is truly a great workout and, (I’ve never said this about any workout), it truly changed everything for me. I’ve recommend this to many friends and they’ve all loved it. Dump the gym. Get a good Kettlebell. Get the workout DVD. Give it 3 months. Heck, give it a month. You’ll see a change in no time.” “I am a big Collage video customer. They have a forum where we exchange all sort of information. They have been raving about kettlebells and your Kettlebell Way to Your Perfect Body.I have dial up internet connection so I can’t watch clips so I depend on my fellow exercisers for information. Well I took the plunge and bought it. I took one look at it and thought oh no – there is no way I can do this. I have lower back problems from an accident years ago. I actually fractured my lower back and developed arthritis. I saw all those squats and was really worried. I gave it a try and I just love it. I just pay attention to my back and it works fine. I usually have trouble doing ab work but can do the kettlebell work just fine. I even do them on my no kettlebell days or when something else has ab work. I love that it mixes toning with cardio. Its two workouts in one!! I am hooked!! I will definitely get vol 2 sometime soon. Thanks (and thanks to my collage video friends)!!”
-M. Wood “Hi Beth: Thank you, you have inspired me. I was looking for a great exercise Thanks again for the inspiration.” “Hey Beth! Been doing KBs for about 2.5 weeks now, just about every other day. I am so addicted! (The Kettlebell Way Vol1) I have lost 5 lbs so far, and I know I’ve gained muscle! I still can’t get through the 2 minutes of tactical lunges- that was just cruel to put those in right after the flip and squats, just plain mean! Haha… Thanks for all you’re doing- I hope all is well for you now that GL has wrapped. You deserve the best!” -Lauren “Hi there, A few months ago I purchased The Kettlebell Way Volumes One and Two (Empire State). I live in the Midwest and I knew I could not run on my treadmill for yet another full winter without having another workout to switch it up with. I have tried many different workout videos in the past and never really saw results or enjoyed working out with them. A friend told me about this program and I took a chance on it. I LOVE these videos – I cannot believe how much fun they are and even though I run, bike and lift weights I am FINALLY seeing results in my problem area lower abs and the stubborn little bit of flabby arm that I still have. I really enjoy the videos that you are in because although you are in fantastic shape you are not intimidating to work out “with” and you keep it fun…so thank youJ PS – Make some more videos Beth – you are awesomeJJ Regards,”
-Amt Rube “(THANK YOU) For bringing this to the forefront. After a month, I am seeing changes. I am 60 and working two jobs in the healthcare field and was losing momentum and I stumbled upon the Guiding Light bb and found the link to your website. I read and here I am 12 pounds (lighter and kettlebell) addicted. I was a skeptic when you said results fast but YIKES. I do it faithfully 3 x a week both aerobic and anaerobic results, your DVD and when I take my breaks from transcribing (medical/legal transcriptionist) I do cleans and presses, swings and abs and abs now are toning great. I even like the one leg lift. Slow and steady but I did it and was elated… “Hi Mrs. Beth, I’m a 25 year-old law student from Baton Rouge, LA. First of all, I (like everyone else you talk to, I’m sure) must say that kettlebelling has completely changed my life…THANK YOU! Also, between school, studying, and working for a judge I don’t have a lot of time on my hands so this workout is fantastic. All throughout college I was a runner and in great shape…BUT, I hated to think that I was FORCED to run everyday to stay in shape…agonizing! Not to mention, it hurt my knees and my poor feet and toes…ugh. Now thanks to KB’ing, I look better than ever, and I’m so addicted to it. And, if I want to go run when I want on my days off, I do, but I’m not forced to…it’s great! I’ve never been this lean and toned in my life, not even when I was running 10 miles a day!!! I’ve become such a KB addict, because it really is so effective. This is the first exercise in my life that I actually LOVE…never thought that was possible! Not to mention, trying on clothes and even bathing suits is enjoyable…lovely… Thank you so much! “ “Beth, I’m thrilled that you did this workout…I wanted one led by a woman that I liked and you da man (I mean, woman)! Thanks for caring about moms and women everywhere and getting the message out. I’m a 40-something homeschooling mom of 3, wife and work part-time, so working out less and getting better results is what I need!” “I bought DVD 1 the other week and well, I am in amazement. I am 32 and have always been in shape- I teach Pilates, and trail run about 20 miles per week but have been bored with my routine. This is by far one of the best workouts I have ever had — even including the ones I teach Thanks and I look forward to DVD 2! “ “I have used “The Kettlebell Way” for nine months and have seen dramatic results. I’m 5’3″ and weigh around 120 lbs. I have lost about 10 pounds since May 2008 and have gone from a size 6 to a size 2 in pants. It’s the first workout that has really worked for me. My mom uses the workout too and she’s 59 years old. I love the first Kettlbell Way workout! I must say that I love Kettlebell training! It works my core. After having a c-section 3 1/2yrs. ago my core is finally pulling in! It goes hand in hand with yoga because it doesn’t shorten the muscles and enhances mobility and flexibility. Thanks for your part in making this great workout and look forward to volume 2!! REVIEWS FOR KETTLEBELL WAY VOLUME 2 EMPIRE STATE “I am a forty something woman who purchased Volume 1 after looking at before and after photos of Beth Chamberlin (who’s in her forties) in a magazine and Volume 2 about a month ago. Ms. Chamberlin used to be thin but not toned. Look at her now! I love these workouts because they incorporate cardio and toning which makes them time efficient. The key to seeing and feeling results is consistently doing the workout 2-3 times per week. Volume 2 does not have a tutorial section; therefore, I would recommend Volume 1 to an individual unfamiliar with kettlebells. The workout has nine three minute rounds plus a bonus round. Each round has three exercises (one for lower body, one for core, and one for upper body). It sounds easy, but it’s not. Beginners can start with no weight and experts can increase the difficulty by using a heavier kettlebell (or two). There is also a shuffle feature for the workout. A second disc has a wonderful joint mobility section plus the “manmaker” workout which has three exercises that can be repeated. The “manmaker” exercise is a combination pushup, row, burpee, and clean and press. This workout will take about 40 minutes if you take a rest between sets, 50 minutes if you add joint mobility, and 60+ minutes if you add the “manmaker”. “ “This is by far the best and absolutely the most effective workout video that I have ever purchased and used. After only a few weeks of using it, I saw noticeable changes in my body in terms of both strength and cardio-respiratory status. As a person with a bad back, I’m often wary of workouts that I’ve never done before. However, after using this for just those few weeks, I found that my back pain had significantly decreased. The strength that I was builiding in both my back and my core was unbelievable – never had I thought that I could get that great a workout in only 40 minutes, 3 times per week. The instruction is simple and easy to understand and it is obvious that considerable time was spent on making sure that correct form was taught. If you have a hard time finding the time to exercise like I do and if you really want to see incredible changes in your body, this video is absolutely for you. In my opinion, there is no better kettlebell workout video on the market. Highly, highly recommended, especially as an adjunt to The Kettlebell Way Volume 1!” “This DVD is a great sequel to the Volume 1. The shuffle feature allows you to fine-tune your technique. And the Man-maker workout is a bonus. The fact that Beth can keep pace in that workout is astounding. She must be in fabulous shape. I’ve been doing kettlebell workouts for the past two years and as a 40+ year old woman, I can say assuredly, they work! Try it for yourself!” “Over the past few years I have tried so many different work out programs that haven’t worked for me. After trying the Kettlebell Way everything changed — I just LOVE it. It’s fun and the resistance is incredible. My arms and abs are so much more toned and i feel strong throughout my whole body – its truly a wonderful workout and Beth makes it fun – she also looks amazing which motivates me to get up to a higher weight soon. “This DVD is a must have. It’s a full body workout you can do at home and at your own pace. There are two of us who do this together in a NYC apartment. It’s incredibly effective and we both have seen great results from the workout. I love that they walk you through each exercise beforehand so that you are well prepared to start the workout. The workout is intense with frequent breaks, which makes it fun and also allows body parts to rest while others are at work. I also love that in a three minute period you are doing three different exercises working out three different body parts. It has a lot of focus on lower body, which maximizes calorie burning. The intense cardio aspect of this workout is a major plus.” “Kettlebell training will change your life. If you are looking for a workout that will target your entire body but with little time investment, this is it. I have been amazed at how quickly my body has responded. As you can see from watching Beth Chamberlain, one of the instructors in this DVD, women will not bulk up using kettlebells. I use this DVD in rotation with the Art of Strength DVD: Providence (a good introduction to kettlebells) Love, love this workout!” “I just wanted to let you know that I pre-ordered “The Kettlebell Way – Volume 2 The Empire State”, have done the workout twice, and I love it! I started with volume 1 after I saw you looking so fit in CBS Soaps magazine. I like volume 1, but the way volume 2 changes up the exercises I am able to do more of the lunges and squat exercises. (I have weak knees and a weak back.) You are an inspiration, and I believe you message needs to be heard by real women today. “ “First off, I hope Guiding Light continues past September in some shape or form. You’ve never looked more beautiful and the show has never been so good. (I’ve watched it for 32 years.) I finally progressed to the second Kettlebell DVD. Did you lose more weight between the first and second DVD or is it the camera? I can’t believe how much more toned and thinner you look in the second DVD. You looked great in the first one, but in the second – wow! It’s almost intimidating. And then I got wondering – I use a 15 lb. kettlebell when I do the first DVD. Some exercises it feels a little too light, but sometimes when I do the windmill, it feels too heavy. What were the weights of the pink kettlebells you used in the second DVD? I noticed there were several in the background. Do you switch the weights around depending on the exercise?” “Hi Beth, It’s been awhile since we’ve communicated but I’ve been working hard at the new DVD that I just got last week. I absolutely love it! I have decided that I want to be a Kettlebell instructor, so in the Spring, a gym near me will be offering a Kettlebell Instructor Certification course that I will be taking. I absolutely love this workout and swear by it… You’re wonderful and look great! Thank you again.” “Hi Beth, I bought both of your dvd kettlebell workouts, I haven’t been this excited about working out since I joined kickboxing 4 years ago. Your workout is just what I need. The results are showing. I was wondering if that Dr. Peter Roy is also your husband? Could you also tell me if you have any books out on kettlebells or just a personal book you wrote on your own? Thanks, ”
